Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. Hebrews 6:7
God is a wise investor. He is seeking someone to which He can invest or entrust His resources. Consider the opening scripture, which seemingly, is speaking of land. It is a parable, we know that Jesus often spoke in parables. God is actually giving a parable about the fruitfulness of His people.
Recall in John 15 when God declares I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.every tree that bears fruit He prunes so that it might be more fruitful John 15:1,2. God is concerned about our fruitfulness, not our busyness, or religious rites, but who are we blessing. God showers us with gifts, talents, abilities and resources; what we do with these resources determines if God will enlarge our territory. The land, or the person, who uses his/her resources wisely to produce a harvest of righteousness so that others might receive and know God, is the one that God blesses more.
People, we are blessed to be a blessing. We are not blessed (empowered to prosper) to simply feed ourselves. If He has gifted you in an area began to excercise those gifts to the glory of God. If He has supplied you with resources (money, land, homes) began to give into the bosoms of others and God will give into your bosom. The more we give; the more God gives back to us. I'm a witness.
The more you use or distribute your gifts, God will increase you in those areas. You cannot exhaust the supply of God. He is unlimited in His resources. If you are using your resources, talents and abilities to bless the people of God and to advance His kingdom, then He will replenish you. Remember, like any natural investor that is looking for a return on his investment, God is the ultimate, wise investor. He is looking for a return on His investments.
This is a brief but powerful word to encourage you not to hoard the blessing of God. If you want Him to enlarge your territory, then start with what you have. If you prove yourself faithful over the small things, He will promote you to rule over greater things. Be encouraged!
