Law vs Grace

So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. Romans 7:21 NIV

Paul, the great apostle of love, is the author of this statement proclaiming a desire to do good yet falling short. Many of us, in fact most of us, have the same struggle. Paul later states in verses 23 that the law of sin and death is at work in the members of his body making him a prisoner of its desires. But there is hope! And the hope is found in another law - the law of grace and truth which was enacted when Christ died and rose again. We are overcomers of our flesh as Believers in His finished work because we live and operation in a new dispensation which is grace.

So be encouraged, while sin remains present in our flesh, we do not have to succumb to it. We  our governed by the law of grace and truth which displaces the law of sin and death; therefore we can walk in victory over our sinful desires.
