Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. I Corinthians 13:4-7
Rude - discourteous or impolite, especially in a deliberate way.1
Love Series - week 7. Let me remind you all of why it is so critical to understand and walk in love. Love is the ultimate power here on earth. So many of us, Christians and non Christians alike, desire to "walk in power" or to "have power". If we are honest with ourselves, we'll acknowledge that we spend our lives seeking to gain power through our positions at church, community or jobs, wealth, possessions or being in authority of persons - none of these are a true demonstration of power. Why? Because they are all based on an external condition. True power is from within.
Love, as stated before, is a condition of the heart and it emanates from our inward man. It is not a bunch of acts - while actions certainly demonstrate or express our love. It goes beyond that to our internal being. You'll note, if you read all of 1 Corinthians 13, that this chapter bespeaks of many things, faith, hope, speaking with tongues of angel, gifts of prophecy, but the conclusion is that love is greater than them all.
Strive for a higher level this week. Let's move beyond walking in love and condition ourselves to be the embodiment of love as God is. How will you abolish rudeness from your heart - by considering others above yourself... an act of humility. Consider how you would want others to treat you in the situation that you are tempted to be rude in.
Don't be convicted. Be encouraged!
