The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. Psalm 138:8
God is perfecting us through our situations. If you are a Believer, baptized in the name of Jesus your water immersion represented burying your old life and being raised to live a new life in Christ Jesus. That said, we understand that our Spirit man was changed immediately; however our soul (mind, will and emotions) must be renewed. That is where the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit began. Our minds, wills and emotions must be transformed to truth, and the purposes and will of God. Much of the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit is accomplished through our circumstances…situations tailored to produce Christ likeness in us. As Christ ambassadors here on earth we are charged with bringing to pass the will of God through kingdom living. The unregenerate man has no interest in God or the things of God for the bible declares that it is foolishness to him (I Corinthians 1:18).
However, as God’s ambassadors, we become His representatives, and He takes a personal interest in every facet of our life. As stated in the scripture, we are the work of His hands. He will not forsake or abandon us. Be encouraged today as you continue to be perfected, shaped and molded by the master craftsman. Don’t resist the work of God in your life because he is conforming you according the expected end stated in Jeremiah 29:11. You might not be able to make heads or tails of your situation right now, but God has the master plan. Trust His leading and His heart toward you. His will is to give you a hope and a future and not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). Stay encouraged!
