Seasons

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Don't mistake a season in your life for the totality of your life. Seasons are like a chapter in a book. The turn of one page can end that chapter and began another. Remember the Lord's words - A day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day.

Our seasons seem unbearably long at times and God certainly doesn't appear to be in a hurry to deliver us. But...don't faint - at the appointed time - your season will end. God already knows the end of your season because He is omniscience. He created us with the end in mind.

I encourage you to not complain about the season that you are in. It doesn't matter how difficult it is. Be it a season of intense testing, preparation ministry, financial difficulties, sickness, depression, pressure on the job, alienation of a loved one, waiting on a husband, salvation for a husband...know this...it has an appointed end.

Rather than worry about the season you are in, learn from it. Focus on the qualities that God is trying to develop in you. Is it patience, loooooooong suffering, kindness, temperance, joy, love, peace, goodness or self-control? These are all fruits of the Spirit. Or is God allowing this season in your life to develop a greater dependence on Him - through a more committed prayer life?

There is a greater purpose to your season. Don't faint or lose heart during your season of trials - God will not allow you to be tested beyond what you can bear. Your season won't last forever. Trust God in it.
