Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. Deuteronomy 8:2
Are you yet still in the wilderness? Hasn't God delivered you yet? If not, check your heart. This scripture speaks to the children of Israel regarding their 40 years of wondering in the wilderness. God said that He purposely led them in the desert for two reasons: 1) To humble them and 2) To test what was in their hearts.
I ask again.... Are you yet still in the wilderness? If so, as was with the children of Israel, God wants to know what's in your heart. You say...God is omniscient - He knows everything. This is true...but He desires to reveal to you what is in your heart. If you love Him or His provision. Because if you sincerely love Him, then you will obey Him even if it requires sacrifice.
I have said it before but it bears repeating: Obedience is the key to success in and with God. He requires it! You can't negotiate with God. If He is requiring something of you in this season, step out and do it...and do it quickly! This is the season of God pouring out His most choice blessing on the remnant of people that choose to obey Him. If you are yet still in the wilderness you need to eradicate any areas of disobedience in your life.
God will, for your own sake, not allow you to prematurely leave this place until He has accomplished in you all that He purposed for this season. Your wilderness has great value for the kingdom.
A great work is being accomplished in you; however, it is not always evident to you or others that might observe from a distance. I distinctly recall my wilderness years. I look back on them and see the necessary work that was accomplished. It was one of the most difficult times of my life. I felt as though I was dying and in essence I was - to myself, my will and my desires.
If you aspire to be used by Him and you haven't gone through the wilderness, you will...you must because God must perfect you in obedience. During this time, be still and have a spiritual ear to hear His voice. He will speak the most profound revelations. Wisdom that will sustain you for the rest of your life. God knows you. He loves you. He assures you and He affirms you during this season. Keep your eyes focused on Him - only He can release you.
Be encouraged. This too shall pass and when it does you will be stronger because of it.
